Enchanted forest

This term our topic is the enchanted forest. This is one of our favourite topics in year 1. Hopefully you will be able to carry out some of the activities at home that would have taken place in school. One of our visits would have been from the night owls. Owls are brought into school and we get to watch them and learn about them as they fly around. You may be lucky enough to see owls flying around at night, if not see what you can find out about them, using books or internet research. Another trip would have been to local garden centre, here we would have learnt about plants and trees. We know lots of you are growing seeds already at home and we look forward to finding out what you have been growing. One last activity you might enjoy is making a fairy garden, you can make this inside or out in your garden if you can. You can make it as magical as you like, don’t forget to sprinkle some fairy dust and make a wish. Take care, we hope to see you soon from all of the year one teachers and TA’S. X
