Admissions
If you would like your child or children to come to West Minster, we would be very happy for you to apply.
You can collect an application form from the school office or you can download one by clicking here. Once returned to the school office your application will be processed in accordance with the KCC schools admission policy. We will let you know if your application has been successful, by post.
Please contact Miss D Jamieson at the office (01795 662178 or email westminster.office@swfed.co.uk) if you have any questions about this.
Applications for a Nursery place are made via the school office. The child is placed on a waiting list and parents are contacted prior to being offered a place for September or January admissions.
We still have a few places in our current Reception and some other year groups. Please contact us to find out how to apply for these.
We now offer Nursery places from 2 years old.
All applications for September 2026 Reception places are made directly to KCC. The number for Primary admissions is 03000412121. Applications for September 2026, open 7th November 2025 and are now closed.
If you have yet to apply for your childs place, please contact the office and we will be able to help you with a late application.
School Admission Appeals – 2026
With the main round of admission appeals for 2026 approaching, we would like to share some important information about how appeals will be managed this year.
Appeal Hearings
All in-year admission appeals are currently held virtually via Microsoft Teams. This format will also be used for the main round of appeals in 2026.
Appeal Form
Parents and carers are required to submit their appeal using the Kent County Council (KCC) online appeal form, available via the Kent County Council website. Parents will also be provided with a copy of the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
Please use the official KCC appeal form, which can be accessed here: Appeal a school offer - Kent County Council.
For further information, please contact the Primary Admissions Team directly at: primadm01@kent.gov.uk
We understand that sometimes you would like to visit the school before you make a decision on your preference of school. Please look out for details of Open Days.
We look forward to meeting you soon.
At West Minster Primary School we follow the KCC policy on school’s admission arrangements. This can be found on our policy link. This outlines the information for over subscription and an explanation of the process parents need to follow if they want to apply for their child to attend the school.
