  🎨 Reception’s Pebble Beach Adventure! 🪨🌊

  Reception had a fantastic morning at the pebble beach this week! The children had a brilliant time searching for shark teeth and collecting special pebbles to take back to school and paint. 🦷🖌️

  They explored the shoreline, listened to the waves, and showed such curiosity and enthusiasm. We’re so proud of how well they represented the school in such a short but memorable outing.

  A big thank you to all the staff and helpers who made the morning such a success!

  We are so proud of our nursery children as they mark the end of a very special chapter. Over the past year, they have grown in confidence, made lasting friendships, and developed a love of learning that will stay with them as they move on to Reception.

  This week, our Reception children took part in a very special graduation
  ceremony to celebrate the end of their first year at school! 🥰
  Wearing their graduation caps and big smiles, each child proudly walked
  across the stage to receive their certificate – a real moment to remember! 📸

  It was a lovely opportunity to reflect on how much they’ve grown and all
  they’ve achieved this year. We’re so proud of them and excited to see what
  they’ll do in Year 1! 💛

• Reception Class Cooking Week

  🍽️ Afternoon Tea & Nachos! 🧁🧀
  This week, our Reception children have been getting creative in the kitchen! They whipped up a delicious afternoon tea, complete with sweet treats and dainty delights, and also made their own nachos with all the trimmings.

  The children loved measuring ingredients, spreading, chopping (with care!), and of course – tasting their creations! It was a fantastic way to build independence, teamwork, and fine motor skills… not to mention a lot of fun!

  Well done, Reception – you’ve been star chefs! ⭐🍓🥪🌶️

  🕵️‍♀️ Language Detectives! 🌍
  This week, the children became brilliant language detectives, exploring both Dutch and French. They carefully matched words to pictures, using their thinking skills to work out what new vocabulary might mean. It was amazing to see their confidence grow as they spotted clues and made connections. A fantastic effort from all our detectives!

  🚦🚗 Beep Beep Session at Seashells! 🚗🚦
  Our Nursery and Reception children had a brilliant Beep Beep
  session at Seashells!
  They explored the importance of road safety – learning how to stop,
  look, and listen 🚸🛑 – all through fun, age-appropriate activities.
  And with the sun shining, they enjoyed some water play fun too! 💦
  ☀️ There were lots of splashes, laughter, and happy faces.

  

• Global Awareness day

  🌍 Global Awareness Day 🌏

  We began Global Awareness Day with a whole-school assembly, encouraging everyone to think about the wider world and how we are all connected. 🌐

  Throughout the day, some of our children took part in a variety of activities exploring important global themes — from climate change and sustainability to equality and cultural diversity. 💬🎨🌱

  To end the day, we held a fantastic jumble sale to promote recycling and reusing. It was a great way to put our learning into action and show how small steps can make a big difference! ♻️🛍️

  A brilliant day of learning, reflection, and community spirit. 💙🌎

  Wednesday was year 6's Gadget Day and what a blast it was! From quirky contraptions to cool tech, everyone brought in their favourite gadgets to show, share, and even test out. 🚁📱🎮It was amazing to see the creativity and excitement – who knew a simple gadget could spark so much curiosity and fun?
