  • The Last Days of Pompeii: The Immersive Exhibition

Mon 23 Feb 2026 Mrs Handy

Year 4 have had an amazing final week of term! As part of their Romans topic, they visited The Last Days of Pompeii: The Immersive Exhibition in London, where they stepped back in time to experience life in Roman Pompeii. The children were especially excited by the virtual reality experience and the incredible 360° immersive room, which brought the dramatic eruption of Mount Vesuvius to life all around them. To round off their learning, the children also designed and made their own Roman shields, proudly showcasing everything they have discovered about the Roman army. What a fantastic way to finish the term!

Mon 09 Feb 2026 Mrs Handy

On Wednesday, we were visited by Jess from OpenView Education who delivered some workshops on internet safety for the whole school. EYFS and KS1 focused on staying safe online, particularly around sharing information online when playing games and being kind. KS2 focused on looking at which games are appropriate for this age group and what to do if someone is unkind to you online; they were show how to change the settings in games so that no strangers can talk to you. They were very informative and the children were very enthusiastic about them.
