🎁 A Surprise Read for Our Children!

Our lovely librarian has wrapped up a selection of books as Christmas presents, each with a little tag hinting at what the story might be about. Children can borrow a mystery book — but they must wait until they’re back in class to unwrap it!

It’s been a huge hit so far… she can barely keep up with demand! 😄📚✨

    Year 4 Science Investigation 🔬

The children carried out an experiment to find the melting points of chocolate, ice, and butter — carefully measuring the temperature to see when each one began to melt. A fun and hands-on way to understand how heat affects materials!

  • Fun filled week for Year 1

Fri 07 Nov 2025 Mrs Handy

In Maths we all worked with a friend to find fact families. We had a tens frame and a whole part model. We had to represent the whole part model on the tens frames and then write a number sentence to match it! We also learnt about number bonds to 10.

In PE we learned how to dribble a ball. We had to remember to use a soft touch and wide hands to help us with our dribbling.

The children were amazing at this skill and showed how they are able to walk a ball around themselves, roll and chase the ball and throw and catch with one hand! After we had warmed up we then went on to bouncing the ball and catching it.

Lastly we have started learning about digital art in computing.

In literacy this week we have been learning about meteor showers, today we created a poster to invite friends to watch a meteor shower. We remembered to include where, what and when. I think you’ll agree the children have worked very hard together on their posters.
