Exciting News
Mon 14 Jul 2025π Exciting News! π
We are incredibly proud to announce that West Minster Primary School has been awarded the prestigious School Games Platinum Award for the very first time! π
After achieving the Gold Award for six consecutive years, this year we’ve reached the highest level possible—Platinum! This award is only given to a small number of schools nationwide and recognises our long-term commitment to physical activity, sport, and wellbeing for all children.
Our PE Team completed a detailed case study to show how we ensure every pupil gets 60 active minutes a day, and we were praised for:
βοΈ Listening to pupil voice
βοΈ Creating inclusive and engaging opportunities
βοΈ Supporting less active pupils
βοΈ Developing brilliant young sports leaders
We’re so proud of our staff and pupils for helping make this happen! β
